Starting with nine drivers, Perry let his intentions be known in the first race when he converted his front row start into a blitzing victory with Florimell getting the second placed result. Jason Crawford (#50 Pitstop Mowers – Yamaha) was penalised two spots at the end of the race and his original second place became a fourth due to having his visor up at some point between the start and finish of the race. Paul Perry finished in third with Crawford, Lisa Chalcraft, Fowler, David Bacon, Sean Denning and Mark Blackeby (#10 Kyabram Steel & Fabrication – Yamaha) the result.

Perry had a cracking start in heat two also after changing gearing in between the first and second heats, however mechanically it came all undone as Perry found himself in the infield unable to find drive after touching the wall on his way around the outside of the field before completing a lap.

Florimell (#81 TM Lineboring & Engineering – Suzuki) led lap one from Crawford, Fowler, Paul Perry and Blackeby with Perry then getting past Fowler a lap latter and Chalcraft from back in the pack getting passed Blackeby then Fowler to put herself into the top four. At the chequered flag Florimell was the winner from Crawford, Paul Perry, Chalcraft, Fowler, Blackeby, Bacon (#DB Cleaning and Kanga Hire – Yamaha) and Denning.

Chalcraft (#15 Freers Smash Repairs – Suzuki) was quick out of the blocks in heat three from the outside front row with Paul Perry, Florimell, Bacon and Fowler chasing and Trevor Perry further back still. Florimell moved into second on lap two and Trevor Perry blasted around the field and into third.

By lap three Trevor Perry was in the lead with Chalcraft, Florimell, Paul Perry (#6 Phantom Stickers – Suzuki) and Fowler chasing him. Florimell moved to second on lap four and on the last lap Florimell who has proven very quick and consistent since Redline Raceway moved past Perry and took the win on the very last lap. Florimell, Trevor Perry, Chalcraft, Fowler, Paul Perry, Crawford, Bacon, Blackeby and Denning (#52 AR Suburban Fencing – Yamaha).

As the Wangaratta Cup is also in the Ballistic Performance Parts season long point score, the top qualifiers had to start from the rear of the field. Denning lined up with Blackeby alongside then Bacon, Fowler (#13 Ballistics Performance Parts – Suzuki), Chalcraft, Crawford, Paul Perry, Trevor Perry and Florimell the order.

Bacon didn’t even get out of the gate in time to compete and was left locked in the pits to watch.

Fowler leapt to the lead at the drop of the green flag and Crawford, Chalcraft, Florimell and Paul Perry followed. Crawford got past Fowler on lap three and lasted only one circulation before he broke down and headed infield.

Fowler still led the race on lap six with Trevor Perry into third passing Florimell. He passed Paul Parry by lap seven and had the lead over Fowler on lap eight of fifteen. Florimell moved to second on lap thirteen and Perry continued on to record yet another victory with Florimell, Fowler, Paul Perry, Chalcraft, Blackeby and Denning the finishers.
