On Sunday, December 10th  at Drouin Speedway the Ladies Crash and Bashers and Standard Saloons were the two crowd drawing features on the program and the Ladies could do no wrong as they crashed and bashed their way to the finish and in Standards Tim Hutchinson visited and won the gruelling Eliminator Cup.

The Ladies Crash and Bash field was boosted by a number of regular car owners making their cars available for a number of interested competitors who did not have cars of their own. The regular top running Ladies then set about showing the new girls who was boss with crashing right from the start.

Heat races in the Crash and Bash went to Leanne Young who won all three races she was in leading up to the feature and Lead Judd won two heats whilst Maleah Brown won the other.

In the final Young was just dominate right at the front and she never looked in doubt when it come who was going to win. Judd was strong however she got spun early and had to fight back whilst from the third row; Bianca Brown who now has the confidence of a magician catching bullets in their teeth came through and moved into second on lap two. Young led all fifteen laps to win in the end from Bianca Brown, Judd, Erin Brown and Maleah Brown.

Standard Saloons were competing for the Eliminator Cup feature and points in their state point score for the Victorian Speedway Council. The feature race starts with sixteen racers and after eight laps four drivers are eliminated. At the front of the field the likes of Tim Hutchinson from the Geelong based Belmont Club and Shane Stewart and Jacob Vuillermin from the Rosedale Club along with Nick Chrystie from the Alexandra club and Brendon Miles from the Nyora club all were on a charge.

A second segment of the race eliminated another four drivers after eight laps including the two Ladies who made the feature race Tegan Bullard and Tracey Ingram.

In the final twelve laps Hutchinson got the jump on the leader Stewart and away he went, no matter how hard Stewart was going the win was out of reach. Hutchinson the winner from Stewart, Vuillermin, Chrystie and Miles.

The local Junior Standard Saloon ‘Boost 2 Drive’ supported point score hosted between Rosedale and Drouin clubs was into its second round and the Victoria three ranked racer Jack Yeomans picked up the win after Lewis Williams crossed the line first and was penalised for his part in contact with Deegan Benson early in the race. Kacey Ingram picked up second and Williams was relegated to third place with Blake Smith and Tahlia Campbell rounding out the top five.

Peter Cox and Daryl Nicolson were entertaining in their Chassis cars and had a big feature race before Cox put distance between the two later in the race. Cox won from Nicolson and Daniel Angus. In Sports Sedans Marcus Reddecliffe defeated Daniel Angus and Ray Gould whilst the Vintage Super Modifieds were in attendance for Demonstration runs of their great equipment from years gone past.

Drouin returns to action on January the 14th with all classes running through the dog leg in the middle of the circuit and the Ladies Crash and Bash back for a second and final meeting at Drouin for this season.
